WP 19. Dissemination

This area of work will be lead by Partner 21 (EULAR)

The objectives of this workpackage are to ensure that the project effectively communicates its results to:

•  Other research projects especially within the LifeSciHealth programme

•  The scientific community at large through international journals and conferences

•  The general public with a particular emphasis on patient associations

The first aim will be to set up a web-based communication forum that will be used for communicating with scientists within the AUTOCURE consortium as well as for communicating with general public. The project intends to buy an existing product and with the workpackage resources populate the forum with useful information on the project and its results as it evolves.

A Science & Society group will be set up from consortium members. The group will be responsible for dissemination of information outside of the project and any contacts between the consortium and the media (in other words, the outside world). The project will also produce scientific publications and conference presentations supervised by the special Scientific Publications Committee that will be created. (see further section B4)

This workpackage will also produce a leaflet early on in the project and probably a brochure during the later phases of the project. This, and all interactions with the society at large, will be supervised through the Science & Society group set up from members of the consortium (see below under B.6 Project Management).

The project will make a special effort in communicating its objectives, methods and results to the patient associations with who the participants already are in contact.
