This partner contributes to the consortium with extensive experience of using large population-based bio banks, from which material can be obtained for studying events occurring before disease onset as well as cohort studies. With experience from the international Monika study within cardiovascular disease (PI Kjell Asplund), the PI of the present investigation in Umeå (Professor Solbritt Rantapää Dahlqvist) will use experience from the Moni c a project and the extensive Blood Bank
of Northern Sweden (head professor Göran Hallmans) to perform innovative studies on events occurring before onset in arthritis and myositis.
