New Eular Director

Heinz Marchesi was appointed new director at the EULAR Congress in Barcelona last year, succeeding Fred Wyss who held the position for almost 22 years.

— I decided to participate at this meeting in Potsdam because I wanted to learn more about the AutoCure project
and get to know the other partners better, says Heinz Marchesi, who has previously mainly worked in the field of communication and management consulting.

— The AutoCure project is still in an early phase but eventually, when the results of the research can lead to practical use, it will become more tangible and interesting for the large number of patients in Europe and elsewhere. EULAR is willing to help out with this communication, says Mr Marchesi, and adds that the insights that are gained from processes of international cooperation developed and tested in the AutoCure initiative can also be valuable for EULAR’s own international collaborative projects.
